It is finally that time! The construction of the Mahone Bay Living Shoreline expansion is scheduled to begin!

Coastal Action is excited to announce that the Mahone Bay Living Shoreline is now expanding by 100 metres!

Have you ever walked along the Mahone Bay Living Shoreline, seen an animal on its shores, snapped a picture, and not known where to send it? Worry no-further!

We are thrilled to announce that we are preparing to continue construction of the Mahone Bay living shoreline! This next phase of the project plans to see another approximately 100-meters along the shoreline installed with a vegetated bank, tidal wetland restoration, and rock sills!

Construction starts on June 16th, 2022, and will last approximately 2 months.
